Welcome to South Bank Employers’ Group (SBEG) and thank you for your interest in becoming our new Chair.

We champion London’s South Bank on behalf of businesses and employees, residents, students, and visitors: we set the agenda, facilitate co-operation, and deliver programmes that bring improvement and change. We protect and enhance this unique area for the benefit of all. As a not-for-profit membership organisation, we are proud of our history in achieving transformational change for South Bank since 1991.

Our innovative approach has been at the heart of making South Bank the place that it is today – an internationally important destination, an economic powerhouse, a real and authentic neighbourhood with diverse residential and student communities.

As Chair, you will play a vitally important role in framing our future strategy, driving forward our plans, and in ensuring that we take an innovative and solution-focused approach to what we do, whilst always working to our values of Partnership, Just, Potent, and Disruptor. Our passion and drive to continually make South Bank even better means we have ambitious plans, and you will ensure that SBEG continues to deliver to the needs and expectations of our members and partners.

This is a critical role, with an equal emphasis on governance, strategic oversight, and external representation. In addition to chairing Board and Committee meetings, you’ll work with SBEG’s members, and its Leadership and Management Team to ensure the successful delivery of our plans.
